SP8 and SP12 are components of digital switches for EmpirBus control, monitoring and distribution systems. SP8 is an 8-way switch; SP12 can have a 12-way screenless configuration or a 10-way 2-way screen. These units provide control inputs to the EmpirBus system through the switches, in addition to status information to the user through the individual LED indicators.
The panels can be installed vertically or horizontally. Assembling the units is easy thanks to the template provided. The SP12 switch is designed to be installed in an indoor space, while the SP8 switch can be installed both outdoors and inside the boat. If installed outside, SP8 is water resistant (IP67) from the front, and the front plate is resistant to ultraviolet rays in adverse maritime conditions. Both the SP8 and SP12 devices have legends of switches for the user, night backlight and alarm indications. They are designed to operate between -20 and 55 °C of temperature.
